In the summer of 2009 I had the opportunity and privilege to photograph an event that only occurs once in several years. That event was the making of bread for the village of La Combe in the Savoie. For me it summed up and epitomised the essence of the village and region. I would like to thank the village for allowing me to capture the event and also Griff and Emma of Mountain Action without whom these images would not exist. Also shown are a number of pictures of the area showing the landscape that La Combe is situated in.
